Hi All & a Very Happy Tuesday to you! 8-) It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge. This is a monthly opportunity for the Taylored Expressions team to share what makes our stamping studios hum. Each month we have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.
The question for May is:
What is your favorite time of the year? Some of us love the sunshine and heat and summer, while some of us long for the crisp cool air of fall. Do spring flowers make your heart sing or is it snow and the smell of pine needles that makes you jolly?
Tell us about your favorite month or season and also tell us about your favorite time of year to stamp.
What a Super Question!! 8-) My Favorite time of year...hmmmmm, well, I LOVE both Spring and Fall, and being that we are still in Spring, not quite to Summer yet, I have definitely been in a Springy Mood with my Creations right now. As for my favorite time of year to stamp, now that's not so cut and dry, lol... I LOVE to stamp year round and Especially for holidays... ;-)
So for my Projects today, I thought I'd whip up a couple of Fun Spring type Holiday themed Projects with TE's Awesome Perpetual Occasions Calendar! It's the perfect solution for keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries, and other important occasions!! The calendar is printed on sturdy 100 lb. white cardstock with blank inserts separating each month. The blank inserts can be decorated any way you choose. It can be used year after year and it makes a wonderful gift. You can see all the Fabulous calendar products HERE.
I stamped my Oh What a Holiday image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White CS and colored it up with my trusty Copics! I created my fluffy clouds with Tumbled Glass Distress ink, my Cloud Border Die template & a small stippling brush. I added my Cheery Sun and popped up clouds with the help of TE's Sunny Days Dies, Cloud Duo Dies and the Waves & Bubbles Impression Plate. My Mats and BG layers were created with Bazzill CS, & some Fun dp's from Simple Stories Snap Color Vibe 6x6 pad. And to finish it all up I added a touch of shading with Peeled Paint Distress ink and some cute little shamrocks created with TE's Tiny Toppers Dies... 8-)
Next up, I thought I'd continue on with my Perpetual Calendar & the month of April, and create a Sweet little Easter scene!... 8-)
Aren't these little Chicks the Sweetest EVER!! 8-) I just Adore them, and totally went a little chick crazy, lol... 8-) I did a little masking & Stamped my Sweet Easter Doodles Chicks & Easter Basket with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them up with my trusty Copics. I fussy cut them all out and popped them up with a bit of foam tape. I created my fluffy clouds with Tumbled Glass Distress ink, my Cloud Border Die template & a small stippling brush.
My mats and BG Layers were created with Sweet Dp's from both MME's Collectable Notable & Collectable Memorable 6x6 collections. And to finish it all up, I added a touch more shading with Tumbled Glass Distress ink, a few more Sweet little Easter Doodles Chicks, just for good measure, lol, and some pretty little Butterflies created with the TE's Tiny Toppers Dies... 8-)
Be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has

ReplyDeleteSuper cute and perfect images for your calendar months! Love how you made the grassy hill for the pot of gold and the patterned paper grass for the darling little chicks. I have to say I love all seasons, but spring is pretty exciting when everything greens up and the flowers start to bloom. I love the feeling of fall, but it's such a short time before it starts to look like winter. Winter is my favorite time to stamp.
ReplyDeleteYou are creating up a storm Kid -- how in the world am I going to keep up with you -- you know I love seeing all the neat things you make!! Is that pot of gold for me!!!!
