To finish it all up, I stamped my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa onto one of my Rainy Days Cloud Die Cuts and added a touch of shading  with Tumbled Glass Distress ink...8-)

Diving Leah - Whimsie Doodles - DS105

Hi All! Hope you've all been having a Super week so far... Today I'm back to share my latest Whimsie Doodles, Doodlelicious Diva creation featuring the Super Cute Diving Leah image!...8-) Isn't she just the Cutest!...;-)
I Colored up my Sweet little Diving Leah with my trusty Copics, Fussy cut her out, and popped her up with a bit of foam tape.

I paired her up with Crate Paper's The Pier dp's and used Taylored Expression dies for the Banner and waves and a Cricut die cut for the sun.  The Fab sketch is my variation of Jen Shults's DS105.  I switched out Leah for the Focal Circle and the Sun for the tag at the top...8-)

You can find the Super SWEET Diving Leah along with a bunch more Darling images in the shop's People Digi's section.. ;-)

Care & Comfort - Taylored Expressions

Hi all! Hope you've been having a Super weekend so far! ;-) Well I thought I'd pop in real quick today to share my latest Taylored Expressions creation featuring TE's Lasting Impressions Care & Comfort Stamp set.  Some of the Hardest cards we Crafty People have need to make are Sympathy cards... And let me tell you, I dread the need of these cards, but have learned thru the years that it's better to have couple on hand than have to attempt to rush & make one at the last minute, when your heart may be a bit heavy... So, that being said, I was Truly Grateful for this Gem of a stamp set with it's many Wonderfully Supportive & Heartfelt sentiments...
A while back our very own Taylor VanBruggen shared her Beautiful Easter cards HERE that feature a Super fun Reverse Masking technique she created with a couple of the Sweet Silhouette Stems Dies & the Posh Posies Stamp set.. I had been wanting to give her fun technique a whirl for a while now, and thought these Sweet flowers would make a really Lovely focal image for my CAS cards today...
Following Taylor's Fab how to's, I arranged the two stems and die cut them in order to use the reverse cutout as a mask. With the mask in place I stamped the dandelion image from TE's Posh Posies Stamp set  inside the flowers in Wild Honey Distress ink. Then with the mask still in place I used a sponge dauber to sponge Yellow Ochre Colorbox ink inside the flowers & sponged the stems with Olive Pastel Colorbox ink.  I stamped my Care & Comfort Sentiment directly onto my Focal image panel with Memento Rich Cocoa and added a touch of shading with Wild Honey Distress ink to all my edges.. My Mats & BG Layers were created with Choice Buttercream CS, Bazzill CS and dp's from MME's Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks 6x6 collection..
For my Lavender Version, I did everything just the same, but used Dusty Concord Distress ink & Grape Slushy Colorbox ink for my flowers. I chose a different Care & Comfort Sentiment, stamped with Dusty Concord Distress Ink that I also used for shading all my edges as well. my Mats & BG layers were also created with MME's Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks 6x6 collection but with Heidi Bazzil CS instead...8-)

Taylored Expressions June Studio Challenge! 8-)

Hi All & a Very Happy Tuesday to you! 8-) It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.  This is a monthly opportunity for the Taylored Expressions team to share what makes our stamping studios hum.  Each month we  have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The question for June is:
What's on your summer reading list?  Are you a big reader or not?  If you are, what books have you read lately that you would recommend?  Do you have a favorite author or genre? How about something for sitting out by the pool, or the beach, or even just the backyard...some nice light summer reading?
Do you use fancy bookmarks or do you dog-ear your pages?  Or, do you use an e-reader? Everyone can use bookmarks and they make great favors and gifts.  Let's see a little inspiration!

OMGoodness what a Super question! 8-) Yes!! I LOVE to read, lol The current book I'm reading is 'The Game of Thrones', and yes, I would Highly recommend it! 8-) I'm not sure if I have a favorite Genre, as I like a variety, mystery, fantasy, comedy, historical, metaphysical, romance, and those that combine all of the above are my Favorites! lol ;-) I do have some Favorite Authors though.. Diana Gabaldon is probably my ALL time Favorite, but I do also Love Katherine Howe, Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts, Florence Scovel Shinn, Katherine Neville, & J.R.R. Tolkein too... Just to name a few...;-)
Being that I seem to always have more than one book going at the same time, lol I am Always in need of bookmarks, and already have several, though none that I have made myself believe it or not lol... So for my project today, I thought I'd try my hand at some magnetic bookmarks, cause they are one of my favorites bookmark styles, & I'll very likely keep one for myself and give the other two away to a couple of my Fellow Book Loving Buddies.. 8-)
These came together pretty quickly and were lots of fun to make too! I started off with TE's Banner Stacklet's 2 for my Bookmark bases. I just folded my CS in half and tucked them just below the top of the die before cutting so my bookmark bases tops would be folded like a really skinny card 8-)... And I topped them with Pretty Layered Roses created with TE's Rosy Posy Stamp set...
I stamped my Sweet Rose toppers with Colorbox's Pink Pastel, Tangerine, & Yellow Ochre onto Choice Snow White CS, added a touch of shading with my trusty Copics and cut them out with TE's Rosy Posey Dies. I popped them up with a bit of foam tape, added some Rosy Posey Leaf die cuts and adhered them to my Bookmark Bases. My mats and BG layers were created with TE's Beautiful June KI Kit. And to finish up my fun little Bookmarks, I just stamped my Vintage Dreamer sentiments with Pumice Distress Ink onto layered TE Band-It die cuts and added cut strips of an adhesive magnet sheet... Easy peasy, huh?... 8-)

Be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has
whipped up for you today..
