Well, today I'm back to share it's Designers choice for one last June New Release project! Yay! And I Chose to share the Darling Teacup Bouquet Set! I just LOVE this Pretty bouquet of Pansies nestled into a Sweet little Teacup! Just To Adorable to Resist! So much so that I made two different ones to share with you all...;-)
And yep, you guessed it, I just HAD to play some more with my New Distress Markers!! lol This time though, I thought I'd try my hand at watercoloring with them, and I created two versions for you... One was created while I was seriously just messing around with them to see what I could come up with on my own, and the other one was created after watching My Sweet Teamie Jen's Distress Marker Basics Tutorial...
This is my first Attempt... And though I personally prefer my 2nd attempt after watching Jen's Fab Tutorial, this one really didn't turn out too shabby, for just messing around that is, lol.. It definitely has a softer watercolored look, and it looks kind of vintage to me as well. I was attempting to re-create the look of my Very Favorite Heirloom Pansies that I had planted in my Garden last spring, and these were the colors they were..And come to think of it, they looked kind of Vintage and old fashioned themselves, probably why I liked them so much at the Nursery! ;-)
And here is my 2nd Attempt after watching Jen's Awesome Basics Tutorial HERE... Big improvement, lol.. ;-) Though I still feel I need LOTS more practice! ;-) I stamped my Sweet Teacup Bouquet with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Watercolor CS, and I did heat set it just for good measure before I started to watercolor with my Distress Markers. Once my images were completely dry, I cut them out with the help of my Classic Circles & Scalloped Circles Nesties sets, inked the edges with a touch of Tumbled Glass Distress ink and popped them up with a bit of foam tape. My mats and BG layers were created with Choice Buttercream CS, Kraft CS, TE's Scallops & Circles Impression Plate, TE's Small Scallop Border Die and Simple Stories Darling Vintage Bliss Dp's... To finish them all up I stamped my Many Minis Occasions Sentiments onto TE's Designer Mini Tags and added Sweet little bows created with my Bow Easy...8-)

Oh I love both for the different feel they both have! Beautiful softness and stunning vibrant cheer. :)
ReplyDeleteI am seriously SWOONING over both of these cards! WOW! And, I ahve to say that I saw these flowers as pansies also, although everyone else seems to think theyare African Violets. Hmmmm...let's just say that they could go either way! And I do love the colors in your first card - some fabulous "messing around"!

That's so funny because I actually like the first one best. Of course they are both beautiful and your papers are so pretty, but there's something "artsy" about the first one.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Colored to perfection and tied with a bow!
