Ever since, Miss Marlene featured this little Sweetie, I knew I just had to create a Fun New years card with him too! 8-) And I knew I wanted to get him in before the month was over also! lol It would have seemed a bit funny to wish you all a Happy New Year in February! ;-) lol Also when I finished up this fun little card, I finally put away all the Christmas 6x6 dp's pads, ribbons and embellies, still sitting on my crafting table.. Yay! 8-)
I printed out my New Year's Lush image, colored him up with my trusty Copics and cut him out with the help of my Classic Rectangles Nesties set. I added a touch of shading with Antique Linen Distress ink, while the die was still in place and then popped him up with a bit of foam tape... My Mats & BG layers were created with Cherry Cobbler & Kraft CS from my stash, my sizzix Swirls & Stars EF, and some Festive dp's from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday. To finish it all up I added the sentiment, cut out with my Classic Circles Nesties sets & a bit of red glimmer ribbon. The Fab sketch is Jen Shults' DS84! 8-)
You can find the Super CUTE New Year's Lush image along with lots of other Darling images in the shop's Holidays/Events section under Christmas/Winter!
Here's Miss Jen's Awesome Sketch.
Hope you all have a Fabulous day & thanks so much for dropping by! 8-)

This is a hoot!! LOL I love the ewe in the martini glass, and the olives are colored perfectly! I'd drink a toast, but I don't think I'd care much for wooly ewe fur in my glass :)
