Hi All! And a very Happy Friday to you. I've been MIA for a few days, again.. lol.. Trying to re-organize my schedule a bit and spend more time with my DH, and enjoy whats left of the summer. 8-) I've also been getting my crafts room a little more organized as well. It sure helps me think and create better when there's less clutter.. lol..So now that that's all straightened up, I think I am back to our regularly scheduled program.. Yay!.. Today I thought I would play along with a couple of challenges, 8-)
I chose to play along with the Fabulous Ladies of CR84FN and their latest Color Challenge #36. And OMGoodness, what an absolutely Gorgeous color palate they gave us to play with this time! I also thought I would give Iwona's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #24 a try.. She creates the most Wonderful Sketches, I have to tell ya, and this one was no exception!
I started off by creating my BG with various dp's from, believe it or not, my scrap stash, even my little scroll Cricut die cut butterfly layer is left over from a previous project.. So, I am really at a loss as to who's dp's they are this time..lol but, I am thrilled that I did not have to cut up anything new and got rid of some of my left overs too..8-) I can tell you that most of my embellies, the chip board frame, corrugated butterfly, seam binding, crochet flower and my dicut doily too, all came from MAD Stamper finds. I did add a bit of shading with my Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Distress Inks and then toned My BG pieces down with my Snow Cap Paint Dabber, which I also added to all my Kraft pieces, the mats, die cut Doily and corrugated butterfly..I think it added a nice little Shabby distressed look. My Hero Arts sentiment was stamped onto a small piece Script dp also from my stash with Memento Rich Cocoa and shaded with Wild honey and Scattered Straw Distress inks before being mounted to a fun stamp shaped chip board frame. To finish it all up, added my pretty seam binding bow topped with a lovely crochet flower, a vintage pearl brad and added few more sweet pearls for my little Butterfly. Pretty easy peasy, huh..8-)
Hope you are all having a Wonderful Day & thanks so much for stopping by!
