Chocolate Easter Bunny!

Hi all!  Hope you have been having a happy and productive week.  It's been super busy here in the White household... Let's see, we've had home remodeling going on, we've been getting ready for out of town guests due to arrive tomorrow and then shortly after they leave us, we are off on our annual vacation, so we've had all the preparation for that as well.  So needless to say, there will be no challenges for me this week. 8-)  I'm just happy to have a few moments free to share a quick little post of my latest creation, an adorable, super easy, last minute Easter Card that I made up for a few friends and family members.  A lot of us are trying to stay away from sugary junk foods, so I figure this was a safe substitute..  A Chocolate Easter Bunny just like we used to get when we were kids, but without all the sugar and calories.. LOL

I made this adorable little bunny with my Cricut, the Easter 2010 cartridge and some yummy chocolate colored DP from K& Co.  I just love the little bite already taken out of the bunny ears, so cute. 8-)  I stamped my BG with Impression Obsessions Dots Cover a Card Stamp and then layered some fun springy DP from Basic Grey's Kioshi pack. I used my MS border punch to add a festive border and embellished it with a bit of ribbon from Michaels. I popped my sweet chocolate bunny up with dimensionals, added a little googely eye, a bit more ribbon from Michaels, and attached a cute little button with some hemp string. Pretty easy peasy, so much so that I just had to make a few more..LOL

Well, hope you all enjoy your weekend and are getting ready for the upcoming Easter Holiday.
Thanks so much for stopping by. 8-)

Just a Note...

Hi all!  Happy Sunday to you!  Hope you all have been enjoying your weekend.  I am happy to say that the sun is back out here and I have been enjoying a beautiful day, so much so that I just realized that I needed to hurry up and get this post in before the time on one of the challenges for my latest creation expires!  Yikes! LOL

For this lovely Sunday evenings post I chose Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #112 and The Color Throwdown Challenge #136.  This is the one that I am hoping to get posted before the time expires.. 8-)

I Stamped my Flourishes image onto Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black and tried my hand at some paper piecing for the very first time and colored up the rest with my trusty Copics! I had been wanting to try paper piecing for  a while now and thought it was time to finally give it a go, I think it turned out pretty well. 8-).. I paper pieced & matted up my image with Brandy Buffingtons lovely Digi DP featured at Two Peas in a Bucket and added in a little bit of Kraft cardstock from my stash as well.  My Flourishes Sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto a layered little eyelet circle that I made up with my Eyelet Circles Nesties set and then popped it up with some dimensionals.  I added a bit of Ribbon from Michaels, a cute little button with hemp twine and Voila, there you have it my very first paper pieced Just a Note card.

Hope you are all having a lovely evening & thanks so much for visiting! 8-)

Thinking of You...

Hi all!  Well it's finally Friday! Hope you all had a fantastic week and are ready to enjoy the weekend.  It's supposed to be cold and rainy here this weekend... I tell ya, we have been having some of the strangest weather,  a few days of upper 80's and 90's and now now thru the weekend, we are back to low 50's and rain..  Anyway, I thought I would focus on a little spring cheer to tie us over till we are back to warm and sunny again... and squeeze in a few more challenges too! 8-)

This Sunny little card was actually inspired by the extremely talented Miss Dina Kowal, one of IO's very own Fabulous design team members. You must go and check out all of her wonderful creations, you will definitely be inspired, I sure was, so much so that I had to create my take on one...  I began by stamping my Large Lovely Daisy Stem from Impression Obsession onto Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it up with my trusty Copics.  I matted it up with a fun eyelet circle I created with my Eyelet Circles Nesties set and some fabulous digi DP from Anita Richards featured at Two Peas in a Bucket.  My Impression Obsession sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto a cute little label I cut with my Cricut using the Mother's Day Cartridge. And that's pretty much it, I used my MS Daisy border punch to add a darling border, a bit of sheer ribbon from Michaels and a sweet little pearl to finish it all up.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!  Thanks so much for dropping by. 8-)

Just Breathe...

Hi all! Happy Thursday to you.  I thought I would share my latest creation.. I had been so wanting to ink up my Flourishes Ferns and Fiddles Stamps and the CR84FN color challenge #22 gave me just the inspiration I needed to break them out and stamp away! 8-)  Actually, I was able to squeeze in Mojo's Monday's sketch challenge contest #185 as well for this card.  I know there are some of you very talented cardmakers out there that are able to knock out several challenges with just one card, and I sure hope to get there someday LOL.  But for right now, I am just tickled to be able to combine a couple at a time.

I started off by stamping my Hero Arts La Letter stamp onto some Kraft cardstock with  Antique Linen Distress Ink and Layered my Flourishes Image over it with Memento Bamboo.  After inking the edges of my image panel, I matted it up with some Brown cardstock from my stash and some great DP from K&Co.  My Flourishes Sentiment was stamped with Memento Bamboo onto a layered little eyelet circle that I made up with my Eyelet Circles Nesties set and then popped it up with some dimensionals.  And I finished it all up with the help of a MS border punch, some fun ribbon from Michaels and a few little green pearls.  And there you have it, pretty easy peasy, huh? 8-)

Hope you are all having a lovely Thursday!  Thanks so much for visiting!

#1 Mom!

Hi all!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  My weekend was pretty much jam packed with getting Easter and Mother's Day cards finished up and enjoying some time with my DH.  Being an LACounty Firefighter, he rarely gets an entire weekend off from work, so it sure was nice to have him home for a few days in a row. 8-)  In celebration of finishing up my Mother's Day cards, I thought I would get in two more challenges tonight, before it's time to start all over again tomorrow! 8-)

For tonights post, I chose Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #111 to use stamps you have not used before and Crazy 4 Challenges #81.

I stamped my Flourishes image onto Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored  up my cute little mug of flowers with my trusty Copics using a few of the Copic Collections grouped by Flourishes.  I love their grouped Collections, it makes it so easy to color and blend with Copics and get fabulous results.  I put a nice little embossed edge on my image panel and BG panel with my Score Pal and matted them up with a combination of some pretty pink pastel cardstock from my stash and some adorable DP from Basic Grey's Kioshi pack.  My Flourishes sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto my layered eyelet circle that I created with my eyelet Circles Nesties set and then popped it up with some dimensionals.  I used my MS traditional Scallops border punch for the bottom panel and I added a touch of Star Dust Stickels and little pearls that I colored up with my Copics to coordinate with my sweet  little bouquet.  Here's a close up shot so you can see it a little better.

And that's pretty much it.  I put it all together and Voila, there you have it, my #1Mom card, all ready to go for Mother's Day.

Thanks so much for visiting! 8-)

Spring Bunny!

Hi all!  Hope you're having a happy Friday.  I have an adorable Spring Bunny card to share to help kick of the weekend.  When I first saw this little guy, I was hooked!  LOTV stamps are just to darn cute to resist!  And of course, it gave me another excuse to squeeze in a couple more challenges for the week. 8-)

For today's post, I chose MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #13 and Lili of The Valley Challenge #90,
to create a Spring Card.

I stamped my super cute LOTV image onto Flourishes Classic White using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored up my adorable little springing bunny with my trusty Copics.  I used a combination of coordinating cardstock in pastels from my stash and some darling DP From Basic Grey's Kioshi pack for my BG and mats.  I put a nice little embossed edge on my image and BG, to give my card a clean finished look.  My Stampendous sentiment was stamped with Dusty Concord Distress ink onto a sweet little pennant I created with my new Nested Pennants Nesties set and popped up with dimensionals.  I finished up my creation with the help of a MS border border punch and a bit of ribbon form Michaels. And there you have it, my darling Spring Bunny card!

Happy Friday all & Thanks so much for dropping by. 8-)
