Merbaby, For You...

Hi all and a very Happy Friday to you! 8-)  What a crazy week it's been I tell ya, haven't had a second to post a single thing.. lol  Ever have a week like that, that you are so busy, but don't have a single thing you can post to show for it.??  Well, that's exactly how my week has been..lol.. But I assure you, you will be seeing the fruits of my labors down the road a piece..8-)

Well for today's post, I decided to play along with the Fabulous Ladies at CR84FN and their latest Color Challenge #32. What Fabulous Summery colors they gave us to play with this time!

I printed out my Darling Merbaby and Seashell from A Day for Daisies onto Flourishes Classic White and colored them up with my trusty Copics.  I did a little paper piecing for her Sweet little tail using some Fabulous Dream of Shabby digi DP by Dianne Rigdon featured at Two Peas in a Bucket and added some shading with my Copics and then a bit of bling with Stardust Stickles. I cut this little sweetie out and popped her up with some dimensionals onto my Seashell which I matted up using my Labels 18 Nesties set with Aqua CS from my stash and then popped that up with dimensional as well.  My I/O Sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black directly onto my BG which was created using a couple of different dp's from the same Dream of Shabby digi Collection. To finish it all up, I just added a bit of vine ribbon around my Seashell, a few sweet pearls, some Fabulous sheer blue green ribbon, a perfect little shell button all tied up with a bit of aqua bakers twine from MAD Stamper finds.

Hope you all have a Fabulous weekend & thanks so much for dropping in! 8-)

Enjoy!

Hi all! hope all the Dad's out there had a Spectacular Father's Day!  My Darling Hubby had to work, but he Absolutely loved the Card I made for him.  Yay!  I also got him the Emergency Series that is now out on dvd, that was also on his wish list.  So I think he was a Happy Camper all around. 8-)

For this evenings post, I thought I would play along with a couple of my favorite challenges, Impression Obsessions's Hot Fun in the Summer Challenge and  The Color Throwdown Challenge #146.

I stamped my IO's Beach Chair By Leigh Hannan onto Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored up my Fun Beachy scene with my trusty Copics and the help of a white gel pen.  I used some really fun summery digi dp's from KTeague's Sunny Day's collection featured at Two Peas in a Bucket, and thought it would be neat to feature one pattern as the sun shining behind my image... So, I did my best to cut out the top section of my beach scene so you could see the sunny dp behind it, popped it up with some dimensionals  and then matted them up together with some fun green polka dot dp from my stash and then popped the whole ensemble up with more dimensionals.  For my BG I used a couple differnt dp's  from the same KTeague digi collection. And to finish up my Summery creation, I stamped my IO's Mini Messages Sentiment directly onto my BG using Memento Tuxedo black, added some fun polka dot ribbon, a cute little button and tied it all up with a bit of bakers twine from MAD Stamper Finds.

Hope you are all having a Fabulous evening & thanks so much for Stopping By! 8-)

July 4th 1776...

Hi all!  Hope you are having a Wonderful Saturday.  I am so excited to share the newest addition to my Blog, my new Blog Banner!  It was just recently Applied and I am soo Thrilled with how it turned out!
It was one of those journey's of discovery since I really wasn't exactly sure what I wanted it to look like and Char at Delight Design Biz, was just fabulous to work with.  She was So patient and accommodating through out the whole creative process which was no easy feat, lol 'cause I know I'm a super picky person! And she was just Wonderful to work with. So, if you are thinking of updating the look of your blog, but not quite sure what to do, she is definitely your Gal! 8-)
For today's post, I thought I would share my latest creation inspired by Mojo Monday Sketch #195.  I actually made up a few of these to send out to friends and family and popped one into my Etsy Shop too for good measure.. 8-)

This was another fun sketch to get creative with.. And, since I wanted to finish up my 4th of July cards, I pulled out my K & Co Americana stack again, lol, some white and red CS from my stash and some Fabulous patriotic digi DP's from Brandy Buffington, featured at Two Peas in a Bucket.  I inked all my pieces with Tea Dye Distress ink and added some texture with  my CB and the stars embossing folder  before adding my bunting scallops.  My layered Star focal piece was cut out with the help of my Cricut and the Plantin School Book cartridge an d popped up with some dimensionals...  Let me tell you, since I made a few of these cards, it was so nice to have the Cricut to cut these for me, It would have taken me forever to cut each star out by hand..lol.  To finish it all up I added two colors of bakers twine from MAD Stamper Finds, a few adhesive pearls and my computer generated sentiment cut out with my Lacy Pennants Nesties set. And there you have it, pretty easy peasy, huh?  8-)

Hope you all enjoy your weekend & thanks so much for visiting today!

Ride The Wave...

Hi all! Hope you've been having a Fantastic week so far. It's been absolutely summery and gorgeous here, so today I am back with my latest card creation inspired by the summery sunshine and the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #112
I did flip the sketch though, to better accommodate my fun loving Whimsie Doodles Ride the Wave Bear. I just love this Adorable surfer bear, and couldn't wait to color him up.

I printed my super cool surfer dude and sentiment onto Flourishes classic white and colored them up with my trusty Copics.   I added the clouds behind him thanks to the wonderful directions my fabulous teammate  Marilyn Scheller emailed me, though her clouds are much better than mine lol.. Check them out in this darling card she made... I just love her Amazing clouds and coloring too!  Maybe if I practice enough, my clouds might end up almost as good. I hope, I hope..lol 8-)
I  added my mats and BG using digi dp's from Basic Grey's Recess set, inked all my edges with Tea Dye Distress ink and popped both panels up with dimensionals.  I layered my sentiment onto a darling eyelet circle that I made up with my Eyelet circles Nesties set and then popped it up with dimensonals as well. To finish it all up, I added two cheerful colors of bakers twine I got from M.A.D. Stamper Finds, that went just perfectly with my card.. And that's it, pretty easy peasy! 8-)

Hope you are all having a Fabulous week & thanks so much for dropping in!

Paying it Forward!

Hi all! Hope you are having a Fabulous Sunday.  Today my post is long overdue... 8-)
I received this Wonderful Award from my Fabulously Crafty, Talented and super Creative Cardmaking Friend Lisa Minckler at: You Made Me InkYou must go and stop by her blog and check out her Fabulous  creations!   Thank you So much Miss Lisa! You have no idea how much it made my day! 8-)  Here is a little peek at Lisa's Fantastic work!

Okay, Now I am to share with you all five things about myself that you may or may not know.. 8-)

1.  I am originally from the fantasticly charming & cultural "City By the Bay", San Francisco.  So even though I hang my hat here in sunny So-Cal, I am a Northern Cali girl at heart.

2. Don't laugh, but I have been Hosting Karoke for over 10 years now and love every minute of it. Singing is one of my other greatest passions..8-)

3. My all time Favorite Rock band is, of course from the San Francisco Bay Area, Journey.  But I must state that I only have and support the Albums that included Steve Perry.

4. I didn't get married till I was the ripe old age of 40.  It took me that long to find someone that I actually wanted to spend the rest of my life with Lol. But, I found him, so I truly do believe there is a lid for every pot. 8-)

5. I would rather purchase hand made items from my fellow Crafters and Artisans than a big chain department store any day of the week.  I honestly feel us Crafty folk need to stick together and support one another as much as possible.

Okay and now to Pay it Forward! 8-)... Here are Five, of the many Fellow Bloggers that have inspired me in so very many ways:
Miss Dina Kowal at: Mama Dini's Stamperia
She has been inspiring me from the day I bought my very first stamp set from Impression Obsession stamps. And continues to do so to this day.. 8-)

Miss Julie Koerber at: Out To Impress
She too is Super Talented and Super crafty and has been a huge source of inspiration to me.  If you are ever in need of a fantastic idea for card layouts, She is your Gal.

Miss Sue Lelli at:  Card Therapy
Sue is a Wonderfully Talented Cardmaker and all around Super Sweet Lady! She's a Kindred Spirit and has been so helpful to me.  I love visiting her blog, I always come away with a smile.

Tropical Father's Day...

Hi all! Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  Well I got all my projects for the week finished! Hurray! And will start on the ones for next week tomorrow, one day ahead of schedule.. LOL  Yay! Little things make me happy.  I like being ahead of the game, even if it is only a day...8-)

For my last project of the week, I decided to play along with the fabulous ladies of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #121, to make a Father's Day card.  This one is for my Darling Hubby.  It's One of his favorite wishes to one day be able to just relax in a hammock on his own little tropical island.  So I figured, since getting him his own tropical island was a bit out of my budget this year, lol, this card would be just perfect for him...

I wanted to get a bit creative with this card, So I used regular old brown kraft CS from my stash to start with for both my image panel and my BG panel too.  For my BG I started off by stamping my brown kraft first with Hero Arts Envelope Pattern and Tea Dye Distress ink and then with Flourishes Antique Map and Memento Rich Coco and used my Pealed Paint and Tumbled Glass Distress inks to add some color and shading.  For my image panel I started off by stamping my brown kraft with Hero Arts Envelope pattern and Hero Arts La Lettre on top of it using Tea Dye Distress ink for both. Then I stamped my Flourishes Beach Life images with Memento Rich Coco and colored it up with my trusty Copics and the help of a white Prismacolor pencil. I inked all my edges with Tea Dye Distress ink and matted everything up with some forest green and teal blue CS from my stash and popped both panels up with dimensionals.  To finish it all up, I stamped my Flourishes sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black directly on to my BG panel and added a bit of hemp twine and a fabulous shell button.  I sure hope he likes it. 8-)

Hope you all are enjoying  your weekend & thanks so much for dropping by!

Unleash your Joy!

Hi all! I'm back again!  I know, Wowzers! Two posts in one day!  Lol... Well like I mentioned in my earlier post today... It's been a little busy here,  so I thought I had better post now, while I still have the time.. lol  Plus I really want to get my latest creation posted before time is up on the two challeges it was inspired by.. One more for the Mojo Monday #194 Challenge and I just had to play along with the Fabulous Ladies over at CR84FN and their latest Color Challenge #31.

And what gorgeous colors they chose for us to play with this week!  They were very inspiring, I tell ya! 8-)

The DP's I chose for my creation are all from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden pack and couldn't have been any more perfect for CR84FN's color challenge this week.  I matted up all my DP strips for the Mojo sketch with some baby pink CS from my stash and stamped my Flourishes Sentiment directly onto my card with Memento Rich Coco.  My gorgeous little layered butterfly was cut out with the help of my Cricut and the Potpourri cartridge and then blinged up with a bit of Stardust Stickles.  To finish it all up I added a great big bow made up with some of my seam binding ribbon. a couple of fabulous MS punched borders and some sweet pink adhesive pearls.

Again, hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening & thanks so much for visiting! 8-)

Star Spangled Birthday!

Hi all!  Hope you are enjoying your Thursday evening.  It's been a hectic week and though I had finished a few projects on Tuesday, I haven't had a moment to photograph them or post them until just now..  It's been just, busy, busy busy! Lol...  Well, for this post I thought I would share a card that  was insired by two different challenges. Mojo Monday #194  and  Flourishes Star Spangled Challenge....

It also gave me a good opportunity to get a little ahead of the game, so to speak, and start on my patriotic cards for the 4th of July. Yay! 8-)

I must say that this was a pretty fun sketch to work with and I broke out my brand new K&Co Ameicana stack, since it was just perfect to go along with the Flourishes Star Spangled theme.  After picking the DP's I wanted to use for the different strips of paper for the the Mojo sketch, I matted them up with a bit of Red CS from my stash.  My Flourishes sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Coco directly onto my card. My layered star award was cut out with the help of my Cricut and the Plantin School Book cartridge. And to finish it all up I added a couole of fun little MS punched borders, some seam binding ribbon, a button and a bit of hemp twine tied up in a bow.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening, and thanks so much for stopping by! 8-)

Let's Hear it for the Boys!

Hi all and Happy Saturday to you! Hope you are all enjoying a fabulous weekend.   I am so excited to share, my newest addition to my blog.  Don't know if you have noticed the adorable little Signature at the end of my last post..( you can see it here too!)  Well I think it's just too cute for words and I just had to give a big Shout out of Thanks to Miss Dina Kowal for creating it for me.  She was so Awesome and insightful to work with! You must go and check out her amazing signatures and watermarks etc.. She has also created a fabulous watermark for me too, that as soon as I can figure out my new photo editing program to apply it, you will get to see that as well!  Very Exciting!.... Now on to my latest creation..
Today I have another Father's day card to share with you inspired by the IO Challenge, " Let's Hear it for the Boys". We were challenged to break out our IO stamps and create a card for the Fella's in our lives... 8-)  And you know, this is good practice for me, 'cause if you read my previous post regarding the Male Perspective, lol  then you know I have been trying to improve my skills where it comes to Masculine cards.

I started off by pulling out all my IO CAC stamps so I could decide which ones to use to create my custom masculine style DP for my BG.  First I chose  I O's CAC Newsprint and  and stamped it onto some Parchment CS from my stash with Memento Rich Coco.  And then to add a little something extra, I used IO's CAC Spatter in two different shades of Distress ink, Brushed Corduroy and Tea Dye.  Then I just sponged on top and around the edges some Antique Linen and more Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.  I did two different version of this as the first one you see hear looked a bit overly Antiquey  to me lol, so I did a lighter version too.  Not sure which one I like best.. hmmm..

Anyway, to finish these two up was pretty easy..  I added a bit of digi DP from Basic Grey's Hang Ten collection, (that's the wood panel)  stamped my IO Sentiment with Memento Rich Coco onto a scrap of parchment CS from my stash, inked the edges with a little Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and matted everything up with some dark brown CS from my stash. I Popped my Sentiment up with a few dimensionals and for my finishing touch, I added the cool masculine type brads which I colored up with my Copics to match.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend & thanks so much for dropping by!

Wishing you Happiness..

Hi all and happy Thursday to you!  Hope you all have been enjoying your week.  It's been absolutely gorgeous and sunny here lately so I thought I would share a little sunshine with you guys inspired by the Fabulous Ladies at CR84FN and their current Color Challenge #30. Check out these beautiful colors they chose for us to play with this week.

Aren't these colors just super pretty or what!  8-)  Well, I sure thought so, and they just so perfectly reflected the beautiful sunny weather we've been having here the last few days that I just had to create something sunny and cheerful too.

My Hero Arts Sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Coco onto layered Ovals and a Scalloped Oval that I made up with my Nesties sets and a bit of CS from my stash. I inked the edges up with Antique Linen Distress Ink and popped it up with some dimensionals.  for my BG Layers I chose a combination of  kraft CS from my stash and some beautiful digi DP from Sassy Designs' Heirloom collection. I added some texture & dimension with the help of my CB and the victorian embossing folder and then added a fun little corner details with my Corner Chomper.  My sweet butterflies were cut with my Cricut using the Bloom cartridge and then blinged up with a few adhesive pearls. To finish it all up, I added a bit of ivory seem binding ribbon, a fun little button, hemp twine and a few more pretty adhesive pearls for the corners. 8-)

Hope you all have a Fabulous day & thanks so much for visiting!
