Happy Birthday!

Hi All! And a very Happy Monday to you, hope you all had a Wonderful weekend! My Darling Hubby and I had a Fabulous time up in Monterey, we had so much fun I almost didn't want to come home.. lol But we did, and Today I am back with another Fabulous Stamps R Us Challenge! Yay! Today our Theme is "Operation Write Home's Birthday".  So make up a Birthday card and join in the fun  & help us Celebrate with OWH too! 8-)  Our Wonderful Challenge Sponsor is The Paper Shelter, and they have put together a fabulous prize for one lucky  winner!  So I sure hope you can play along with us.  And please stop by the Stamps R Us Blog to take a peek at the Darling creations the rest of the Fabulous Design Team has whipped up for your inspiration! Oooh, I almost forgot, please make sure to say Hi and welcome our Terrificly Talented Guest Designer Miss Jo Edwards! I just know you are going to love her Wonderful challenge creation! 8-)

Well, I printed out my Adorable Teddy Bear with Flower pre- colored image.... Yes, you read right, lol I did not use my "trusty Copics".. lol I know a few of you may need to sit down from shock.. lol.. Actually few of us decided to try out The Paper Shelter's pre-colored images. They really are a lot of fun to use if you need to make up a card in a hurry!  And you know I have never used a pre-colored image before and just couldn't help but add a little something extra.. lol  So I just had to add some Big fluffy clouds using my favorite cloud templateTumbled Glass Distress Ink and a small stenciling brush. And then I did a bit of shading with a touch of Vintage Photo Distress Ink so my Sweet little Teddy would have a bit of ground to sit on. cut out and matted up my little friend using my Labels 18 Nesties set and then popped him up with a few dimensionals. For my Mats and BG layers I chose the Sweet Trattoria Chef digi dp's also from The Paper Shelter. My Lil' Inker sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa directly onto my BG.  To Glitz it up a bit I had added some Stardust Stickles to the flower's center and then realized, Oh Yeah, this card is for OWH, which means there can be no glitter added... As the glitter can stick to skin and uniforms and can be seen with night vision so it's deadly to our troops. So, Big time Yikes!  Well luckily it wasn't normal glitter, it was Stickles and after it dried I completely sealed it in with a heavy coat of glossy accents for good measure.. Whew! Disaster averted! lol.. To finish it all up, I just added a bit of ribbon from my stash and a cute little button all tied up with some Yummy Bakers twine from MAD Stamper finds

Hope you all have a Fantastic day & thanks so much dropping in! 8-)
Thanks for stopping by!

  11. Cute, cute card! Love the image, and you made it your own with all the fantastic added details. Love the clouds. I'm starting to think every card needs just a touch of light blue, no matter what the other colors are! :)
